Moving a domain to phas costs one year's renewal and adds a year to the registration. Your site and email keep working during the transfer because DNS is untouched until you decide to change it.
Before you start
At your current registrar:
- Unlock the domain. Transfers are refused while the registrar lock is on.
- Get the transfer code. Also called an auth code, EPP code or authorisation key. Your registrar shows it on the domain's page or emails it to the registrant.
- Check the registrant email address is one you can read. The registry sends the approval request there.
Domains registered or transferred in the last 60 days cannot be transferred under most registries' rules.
At phas
- Search for the domain under Domains. A registered domain shows a Transfer option instead of Register.
- Enter the transfer code and complete checkout. For
.audomains we also collect the eligibility details the registry requires. - The domain appears in your account marked Transfer in progress.
Approval and completion
The registry emails the registrant contact to approve the transfer. Click the link in that email. If it has not arrived, Resend approval email on the domain's page asks the registry to send it again, and Cancel transfer withdraws the request if you change your mind.
Once approved, the transfer completes at the registry, usually within a few days. We check daily, and the domain's page changes to active with its new expiry date.
After it lands
The domain keeps the nameservers it had. To move DNS to phas as well, use Use phas DNS on the domain's page; see Nameservers: phas DNS or your own. Auto-renew is on by default; see How domain renewals and billing work.
