Transfer a domain away

Any time, no exit fee. Unlock it, take the auth code from the domain's page, and give it to the new registrar.

You can move a domain away from phas whenever you like. There is no exit fee and no waiting period beyond the registry's own rules.

Steps

Open the domain under Domains.
Turn the Transfer lock switch off. The lock is on by default to stop anyone moving the domain without your say-so.
Copy the Auth code shown on the page.
Start the transfer at the new registrar and give them the code. The registry emails the registrant contact to approve it.

Things to know

Domains registered or transferred in the last 60 days cannot be moved under most registries' rules.
A transfer usually adds a year to the registration at the new registrar, so time it after a renewal rather than just before one if you want the most value.
DNS keeps answering from wherever it is hosted until you change it. If the domain uses phas DNS, set up the zone at the new provider before the transfer completes, then change the nameservers there.
Auto-renew stops the moment the transfer completes. Nothing further is charged.

Changed your mind

Turn the transfer lock back on before the transfer completes and the request is refused. After completion, the domain belongs to the new registrar and would need transferring back.
